Investment Performance February 2011 (+2.57%)

This is an ongoing monthly update on how our equity investments are performing. Please see this background on the investment tool I developed and how I am using it to track our performance against a benchmark to measure our progress or lack thereof.

February Highlights:

Well our performance sucked compared to our benchmark (+2.57% vs +3.27%).

We made a number of transactions in February. We sold some more of our IBM shares as the valuation is up significantly and I feel overall overexposed to IBM. We made small investments in a number of our existing holdings but nothing really too noteworthy. I guess it was more the itch to deploy cash as I hadn't in awhile and I got a little trigger happy.
In the end we still took money out of the market overall and feel the market is expensive at this point.

We also made our regular monthly investments in our IRAs and Conocco Philips DRIP, and had some dividend reinvestments.
