Here is my current asset

Here is my current asset allocation for all the assets on my balance sheet (just assets; this ignores liabilities). I don't have cars or personal property listed on my balance sheet so it won't show up here either. I suspect my allocation has a rather high percentage in stocks compared to most out there.

42.5% ($160,000) - Real Estate:
My rental property is my entire allocation to real estate. I currently value it at its purchase price.

46.7% ($175,800) - Stocks:
My 401(k), Roth IRA, ESPP, and taxable investments in a variety of DRIPs are all invested in stocks.

0.0% ($0) - Bonds:
I currently own no bonds.

10.7% ($40,350) - Cash
I have my short term savings and 0% balance transfers in cash (such as EmigrantDirect).

sorry to lazy to do the % but here's mine: $22k in money markets, $1k in company stock, $198k in IRAs and 401Ks, and $315 in rental house and primary residence (equity estimates). Kinda top heavy in real estate and trying to get more into short term funds e.g. non-retirement accounts. But, no debt! I love that part! All we have are the mortgages on the rental and house and this house (the one we live in). Oh and this is for 2 40 year olds so it's ok, but not as awesome as you might think (wish we started earlier!!)

oop! put a "k" after that $315...it's $315k in real estate not just $315.00 :-)

I noticed a lot of people had a lot of cash investments like money market and stuff like that... Is this due to the inverted yield curb where a money market account would give you a better rate than a stock market? (I think that is how it goes)Is this true? or please explain more...

I liked what apollo said in saying that he or she had a lot to learn, as for myself I have a lot to learn, the more money you make, the more confused you get, the more choices you have, thats when you start making mistakes. I have been where all of you have been trying to invest and save up to a million or 2 million dollars. This is probably the fun part of the journey, it does not get any easier if you intend to continue but you will learn to roll your money (or should I say cash flow). But I can tell you a fundamental truth, no one rich is really going to tell you how they made their money. If they do they gain another competitor. So most of you will have to grope in the dark for some time before you see the light, hopefully the light is not a train heading towards you in a dark tunnel.Anonymous Millionaire.

pyroracing, i have the amount in money markets/CDs that I do b/c I want to keep some liquid assets for things like home improvements and for any emergencies that may come up. If I bought stock with it may be at an unfavorable price when I need to tap it for a project. Also money markets and CDs have pretty good rates these days, they aren't at 1 or 2 % anymore

I would be curious to know the allocation within your stocks... what percentage is in mutual funds, what percentage is in large cap and small cap.

Here are the stocks I own. they represent a little ove 40% of my total liquid assets. I own a $400,000 house with $150,000 4.75% mortgage payable which is offset by a 7% mortgage receivable of $ 187,000 on a house I sold.

Only one of the stocks below is NOT an ETF. Some of the ETFs are designed to go up or down twice the rate of the underlying index.
