Five Things You Didn't Know About Me

I'm running a little behind on this since I have been in the process of wrapping up my temporary assignment and coming back to NC, but LAMoneyGuy was kind enough to tag me.

So Here is Five Things You May Not Know About Me:
1) I'm lazy. I am a hard worker most of the time, but deep down, I am a very lazy person. I don't know how much longer I can keep up my productivity levels :-).

2) Up until this week, I have never really lived alone. Now that I am back from my temporary assignment and settling back into my house, this will be the first time I have never had any roommates in the same place for an extended period of time. I know I am going to like not having anyone else to blame for making a mess, but I hope things won't be too eerily quiet.

3) Before starting my career, I had never traveled outside the US/Canada. However, my work has sent me all over - Puerto Vallarta, Monterrey, and Guadalajara in Mexico; Campinas, Sao Paulo, and Rio in Brazil; Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London in the UK; Tokyo, Japan; Hong Kong/Shenzhen, China. I really enjoy traveling now.

4) I have been a type 1 diabetic for 20 years. Improving my blood sugar is always an area I can work on, but I do ok.

5) I'm Moving To China! Seriously. Looks like I will be taking an international assignment for work to Hong Kong/Shenzhen, China. I will probably be going in the later half of 2007 (maybe even later) and should be over there for about 1 year. A lot still in flux on the details, but the paperwork has begun. Needless to say, I'll cover this in larger detail later.

I'm supposed to tag some people to do the same, so if you’re interested leave a comment and I'll tag you!

Merry Christmas!

Moving to China? Are you serious? Maybe I can provide some information, :D.

Goo dluck and remember, Tsing Tao beer is great (could a billion people be wrong)

China sounds exciting until you get there and have to actually breathe the air or drink the water. And unfortunately hundreds of new coal-fired power plants will be built to meet China's enormous energy needs.

What kind of job do you within IBM that allows you to travel so much? I am curious as I work for IBM too. Thanks.

$2m,
What happens with your wife if you're living in China?

There are a million questions/details on the China assignment thing - Ill start digging into them and all the financial aspects when I get settled down a bit.
