September Net Worth Update (+$10,788)

A little overdue, things have been very hectic with all the last minute wedding planning. We are getting married in less than 2 weeks and the spending is now pretty much out of control. Next month I'll have to assess the damage.

Highlights for September

  • All credit card debt (except current month's purchases) is in the form of 0% APR balance transfers earning interest in my savings accounts.

  • I took an optimistic look at what would happen if I could continue my net worth monthly growth rates.

  • I found it much easier to give more to charity by signing up for monthly contributions.

  • I am getting married in just a few short days. October will likely be the most expensive month ever for me. Posting will be lighter than normal over the next couple of weeks as we get married, have a quick honeymoon, and bring my wife to China.

Additional Stock Investments September (Outside of 401k & ESPP):

  • $25 in ConocoPhillips DRIP
  • $200 in USG DRIP
  • $250 in Vanguard Roth IRA
  • $50 in Pfizer DRIP

Congratulations on your pending nuptials. Good Luck on minimizing the money drain this month.

Keep up the good worth! I always love reading net worth updates.

Good luck with the wedding. Hopefully financially it won't get too out of control. Weddings have a tendency of being huge debt builders.

2Mill, when in the process of making a home improvemnt to one of your homes, how do you reflect this into your homes value?

Acutally, I have never updated my home value for home imporovements. I have always left them at the orginal cost basis. Being a bit conservative I guess.

Wow, Congratulations!

By the looks of this post you are either married already are getting married in the next several hours at this point. Good luck. I hope you have a mappy and fulfilling married life!

Congrats on breaking the 400K barrier too!

Why do you continue to fund your Pfizer DRIP? I tend to think you would own more storing it in a money market fund (VMMXX) than a pharmaceutical stock going nowhere (and possibly losing patent protection)?

Congratulations on the marriage. Excellent work tracking your worth. Makes me realize that I need to sit down a get Octobers figures sorted.
