Never been on a cruise? I figured it might be useful for some to share the daily itinerary for our 5 day Carnival Fantasy Cruise from Charleston, SC to the Bahamas. This list of activities could give you a feel for how the day flows on the cruise ship and the different activities that may be available during the cruise. Since I have only been on 1 cruise I'm not sure how common the activities are, but I have to believe the cruise companies have a formula for putting together the schedule to make sure most folks have something to do all day long while on the boat.

Leaving this week. Going on a 7 day. Trying to figure out how many "formal" dinners to pack for in terms of attire.

Enjoy Brenda! I think Carnival typically has 2 formal nights on a 6 day cruise or longer. From my experience on a couple cruises is not to worry about formal nights unless you want to. I've dressed casually for all the formal nights we've been to on cruises and felt quite comfortable/not out of place.
