Highlights for March

  • We like to take advantage of 0% APR balance transfers earning interest in my savings accounts, but that well has dried up for now. We are actively looking at taking advantage of new offers on 0% APR on purchases as an additional arbitrage opportunity.
  • March was another positive month for us driven primarily by my annual bonus and some stock market gains I overlooked last month due to a Mint.com error.
  • We put an additional $650 toward our rental mortgage debt paydown. I recently provided an updated household debt snapshot. I believe we will be in a better cash flow position once we eliminate the some of the mortgages on the rental properties.
  • We purchased an outdoor playset this month for our daughter's upcoming birthday
  • Our investment portfolio barely beat our benchmark (VTI) in March (0.09% vs 0.03%). I'll post additional details of our investment activities in March later this month.

First of all let me say great job with your increasing net worth. Although your portfolio may not have performed as well as you want at the very least it didn't go down. Keep up the great work and posting these net worth updates.

2million,

Do you like Mint.com and is it safe? Also, is it easy to use and worth the hassle of inputing all the data? I've never used it so just curious. Thanks.
